The O Story
Just 18 minutes from Downtown Palm Springs The O Spa is located in the heart of Desert Hot Springs “Spa City”. The thermal mineral waters at the O Spa were used by the Cahuilla Indians for over one thousand years and are unique as they are one of the few odorless thermal mineral springs in North America.
The Spa was originally constructed in 1952 but has been thoughtfully updated with modern amenities while retaining its original 1950’s character. The majestic San Bernardino and San Jacinto Mountains surround the resort and provide dramatic 270-degree mountain vistas.
The walled and private 5 acre grounds feature three natural mineral spring pools, an outdoor Turkish waterfall shower, a Pétanque court, and three private poolside cabanas. There's also a large, shade covered, yoga platform/stage (that is perfect for weddings, speaking engagements, musical performances and business presentations) as well as an outdoor dining area that seats up to 20, three gas BBQ's, three fire pits and carefully selected indigenous landscaping and outdoor murals by Los Angeles Graffiti Artist John Mackie. There's also a secure 100ft ‘leash free’ dog run for our four-legged guests.
The common area kitchen/lounge (which all guests are free to use) is adjacent to the main pool and includes complimentary morning coffee, flexible seating for 30, and a fully stocked kitchen with cookware, tableware and utensils, ice maker, and a 200-volume library featuring design, architecture, fashion and art books.
The 12 private rooms, some with kitchenettes (sink, microwave, and mini-fridge), feature a selection of high-quality King or Queen beds with luxurious European linens and each room is individually decorated with an eclectic selection of modern furniture, antiques, and art.
The O Spa is available for private parties, weddings, events, and photoshoots and can accommodate up to 42 people as overnight guests (two persons per room). We can also accommodate events for up to 200 attendees.

If you have any questions, or just want ideas for things to do while visiting the desert (restaurants, golf, tennis, biking, architecture, shopping, Salton Sea or winery tours, photo safaris, etc.) please feel free to contact us as we can provide both general and ‘off the beaten path’ suggestions.
Downtown Palm Springs is about 18 minutes by car as are casinos, while the El Paseo shopping district is about 40 minutes. The massive Factory Outlet Mall is a 20-minute drive and Joshua Tree State Park is an easy (paved roads) 40-minute drive and is worth the trip if you have never visited the park. Taxis, Uber, Lyft, and car services are readily available. Shopping for essentials is nearby but may be beyond walking distance for most. Overall, a car would be best and free parking is available for all guests.

Group bookings will have exclusive access to all spa amenities, and we can help arrange for catering, beverage service, DJ’s, PA systems, seating, outdoor tents, etc. Just let us know what your needs are, and we will try to accommodate.

Children
The O Spa is geared for adults 18 years or older, but children are welcome if you reserve the entire resort for family or corporate events.
Decorations
Any party decorations or banners (both in your room or on the grounds) need to be hung with removable adhesive hooks or low tack painters’ tape. No thumbtacks, Scotch tape or holes in the walls or ceilings please.
Furniture
If for any reason you need to move furniture it is your responsibility to move it back to its original location prior to check out. Please do not place lounge chairs or furniture on any of the synthetic turf as this can create irreparable damage to the grass.
Noise
We want our guests to have a good time and a memorable holiday but please do not create excessive noise or disturbances. A little consideration goes a long way and we ask you to please respect the other guests who may be staying at the Spa. Please keep voices, music and pool activities at a reasonable level. Our pool and spas are open 24 hours a day, but we do ask that if you choose to be outside after 10pm, please be considerate of the other guests and use indoor voices.
Nudity
Topless sunbathing and swimming are acceptable but please use appropriate cover-ups when using common areas of the spa. We are progressive and mature, but the O Spa is not a ‘nudist resort’.
Occupancy/Parties/Events
Maximum occupancy is two persons per room. If you would like to invite more guests for parties, events or photo shoots additional fees may apply, and pre-approved arrangements are required and all requests for parties, events or photo shoots must include the total number of guests and be made in advance.
Parking
We offer plenty of free parking both in front of the Spa and in our parking lot.
Pets
Well behaved, socialized pets are welcome (in some but not all of our rooms) but we do ask that you immediately clean up after them and make sure they don't damage any furniture, etc. Pets are not allowed in the pool or spa or on the synthetic turf and must remain on leashes and be supervised at all times while on the grounds except when using the dog run which is a “leash free” area. Please be considerate of our other guests and do not leave any pet that may suffer from “separation anxiety” unattended. The limit is two pets per room unless prior arrangements have been made. The owners of any pet(s) that we deem aggressive (aggression to humans or other animals) or noisy pets will be asked to remove the animal(s) from the property immediately and by accepting your reservation you agree that this determination will be made by the management of the Spa.
Smoking
All of our properties are Cannabis friendly, but all smoking rules apply. Smoking is permitted in outdoor areas only, vaping is ok both outdoors and indoors, but as a courtesy to our other guests (and in good taste) please do not bring any large paraphernalia (plug in vapes, water pipes, etc.) outside.

One of the best pools I’ve ever been in. Beautiful water both warm, and hot!!!and a very kick back atmosphere. Ideal for preparing food for yourself or your party with lots of tables, shade gas bbqs, chairs and beautiful landscaping throughout.
Our room was a bit basic I think it was one of the smaller ones but ac worked well to keep us cool and the bed was very comfortable. Big variety of guests which in itself was interesting and everyone was polite and friendly. I will definitely return and will book further in advance to get more choice of rooms.

We booked a night here for my birthday as a respite before heading back home after a stay in Pioneertown. We appreciated being able to partake of the mineral baths & space with our 11 month old pup.
The facility is thoughtfully landscaped, with vignettes of seating areas that allow people to enjoy the premises with the feeling of some privacy.The vibe is pretty relaxed & chill, with some music piped in around the main pool area. There is a communal kitchen & options to purchase some quick & delicious dinner to make (pasta/sauce) in an honor system shelf if you don’t want to go out.
There is a separate, more quiet pool below - which we really enjoyed. Spa treatments are available; we each booked a massage with Wendy - she was fantastic!
Our check in experience was a little scattered, but Desiree went above & beyond to make it right & added generous, kind touches to make sure we felt at home & enjoyed our visit.
We will be telling friends about this spot, & hope to return someday.

Cancellation Policy
Please note, by confirming your reservation you acknowledge that you have read, understood and explicitly agreed to all Hotel Terms, Conditions, Cancellation and Refund Policies.
CANCELLATIONS + REFUNDS: VISA, Master Card, Discover or American Express account numbers will be taken in advance for all reservations and your account will be charged in full at the time of reservation. The O Spa is a small boutique hotel and unlike larger hotels, we do not have excess room inventory and therefore are unable to cancel or refund reservations less than 30 days from the reservation check-in date. Any reservations canceled less than 30 days from the check-in date will result in forfeiture of the entire rental amount paid. For cancellations 31-60 days from the reservation check-in date 50% of the contract amount is refundable. For cancellations more than 61 days from the reservation check-in date 75% of the contract amount is refundable.
Please note that Group and Event reservations are payable in advance and are not refundable, in any amount, nor can be rescheduled for any reason, irrespective of reservation dates or circumstances.
Holiday Reservations*, Thanksgiving*, Christmas* and New Year* Holiday periods as well as all Coachella* and Stagecoach* dates/periods (*Monday-Sunday) are non-refundable after September 1st of the year prior to the event(s). And all room/group reservations for the rescheduled October 2020 Coachella and Stagecoach Festivals are not refundable after March 1, 2020.
Early Departures, Early/Late Check-ins: There will be no refunds for unused nights, late arrival or early departure. Early check-ins and late departure and extra nights may be available for an extra charge.

Please note that Group and Event reservations are payable in advance and are not refundable, in any amount, nor can be rescheduled for any reason, irrespective of reservation dates or circumstances.
Holiday Reservations*, Thanksgiving*, Christmas* and New Year* Holiday periods as well as all Coachella* and Stagecoach* dates/periods (*Monday-Sunday) are non-refundable after September 1st of the year prior to the event(s). And all room/group reservations for the rescheduled October 2020 Coachella and Stagecoach Festivals are not refundable after March 1, 2020.
Early Departures, Early/Late Check-ins: There will be no refunds for unused nights, late arrival or early departure. Early check-ins and late departure and extra nights may be available for an extra charge.
Travel Insurance: Our refund policy does not exclude “acts of God”, illness, natural or man-made disasters, war or any other unforeseen events/circumstances that might affect your ability to travel and it is recommended that you purchase travel insurance to protect you in the event that unforeseen circumstances arise and to protect your investment.

Deposit Policy
100% of the vacation rental contract amount is required to confirm your reservation. VISA, Master Card, Discover or American Express account numbers will be taken for all reservations and your account will be charged in full at the time of reservation.
